River Duddon, Dunnerdale Hall, Ulpha

SPECIES AND GUIDANCE… Salmon and Sea trout

This beat is quite a way up the River Duddon System. A large summer flood is required to enable the fish access to the pools. The best of the fishing is to be had later in the season. Gravel, boulders and rock make up a very interesting river bed. This is covered for most of the time with crystal clear streamy water. A run of fresh water is all that is required for ideal fishing conditions. The scenery is very wild and remote although the valley road is only a field away. This beat was formerly known as Mr Hagel’s water. The fishing extends to about three quarters of a mile on the left “East” bank.
