River Duddon, Duddon Bridge

SPECIES AND GUIDANCE… Salmon and Sea Trout

This beat is at Coops wood on the left “East” bank looking downstream of Duddon Bridge. The beat starts at the bridge and ends at a field gate approximately 300 yards downstream. This gate is at the bottom of the wood and is near the stone bank wall of the Sheep Dip Pool. The beat has mainly streamy water with a good holding pool at the downstream limit as mentioned above. Salmon and Sea Trout can be encountered at all levels. This water can be tidal during spring tide weeks so please exercise caution, also this river rises very quickly should a cloudburst occur higher up the valley, please check the weather and tides before fishing.
